Appearance is now set once per bot and shared by the widget, page embed, and chat link. The Activity page helps you work through conversations, and the dashboard makes it clearer when a plan limit is holding you back.
New:Appearance card on the Deploy page. Pick one brand color and HelpJet derives the rest of the palette; corners, feedback thumbs, header logo, and footer text are set in the same place for every channel.
New:Mark reviewed on Activity, plus an Unanswered questions list so you can see what your bot could not answer and add it to your sources.
New: A plan card in the sidebar shows your bots and interactions at a glance. When you hit a hard limit, the dashboard explains what to do next instead of stopping silently.
New: Pro trial reminders by email, so a trial never ends by surprise.
Improved: Activity triage counts match what is listed, filters are kept in the page URL, and Copy link works again.
Improved: Emails from the in-app contact form now list your bots with dashboard links, so support replies arrive with context.
Fixed: The new-bot wizard no longer breaks when a browser translator (such as Google Translate) rewrites the page.
Fixed: Searching in Activity no longer leaves you on an empty screen with no way back.
Fixed: Members whose account has no name are shown by email instead of as "User".
Removed: The per-channel color pickers under each Deploy tab. Their settings were migrated into the shared Appearance card.
The chat widget appears on your site sooner, and a round of fixes to the new-bot flow removes the dead ends we had seen people hit.
Improved: The widget loads faster: its configuration lookups run in parallel, the bundle is about 12 KB smaller, and the first reply no longer waits on a third-party location lookup.
Improved: Several fixes to the new-bot flow found by watching real setups, including steps that did not advance and errors that were not shown.
Fixed: The Preview button in the bot header is hidden when the Chat Link channel is off, instead of opening a page that did not work.
A new deploy channel lets your team ask questions of a bot from inside AI assistants that support MCP, such as ChatGPT.
New:MCP tab on the Deploy page. Turn it on per bot, copy the server URL into ChatGPT or any MCP client, and the assistant can search that bot's knowledge. It is read-only and off by default.
New: MCP usage appears in the bot's analytics.
Improved: Q&A sources on the Sources page expand to show the full question and answer.
Improved: Training fetches now identify themselves as HelpJet-Bot/1.0, so you can allow HelpJet through a firewall or crawler rule.
Training from a website follows sitemap indexes all the way down, tells you when a page was blocked rather than silently learning the block page, and suggests the right URL to start from.
New: Sitemap indexes are followed into every child sitemap, so sites that split their sitemap by type or month are trained in full. A Review pages step lets you exclude pages before training starts.
New: Pages that returned a firewall or bot-protection block page are flagged as Blocked instead of being trained as content. Filter by them, retrain, or delete them from the Sources page.
New: When you add a website, HelpJet suggests the best URL to train from (for example the WordPress site root rather than a single post).
Fixed: Links in bot replies now open on sites that run click-blocking optimizers such as NitroPack.
Fixed: The widget header menu (new chat and related actions) works again.
Bots can reply in far more languages, new bots are ready to deploy on every channel as soon as they are created, and signing in looks like the rest of HelpJet.
New: Bot response language choices grew from 8 to 62, including right-to-left languages. The widget's own labels (send, new chat, feedback) follow the bot language.
New: Changing a bot's default language offers to translate its welcome message and suggested questions for you.
Improved: New bots start with all deploy channels enabled, so the chat link, widget, and page embed work immediately.
Improved: Sign-in and sign-up pages were redesigned for HelpJet, with clearer error messages, a Get help link, and no flash of a blank page while loading.
Improved: Training file uploads go straight to storage, so larger files upload reliably. If a file cannot be uploaded you now get a clear error instead of a silent failure.
Security: The widget is isolated from the host page so it cannot be restyled or tampered with from outside, and every public chat surface now carries a short-lived token tied to where it was loaded.
Removed: Page-level CSS overrides of the widget. Use the customization settings on the Deploy page instead.
Improved: The Goals page has a two-column layout, a performance strip showing how often the goal is offered and clicked, a test chat, and guards against saving a goal that cannot work.
Improved: Goal availability follows the plan of the organization that owns the bot.
Fixed: The widget renders inside iframes and private windows where browser storage is blocked; before, it could fail to appear.
Fixed: Dashboard tabs left open across an update recover automatically instead of showing a broken page.
Fixed: The bot test page and preview no longer break under a browser translator, and the preview's Replay button works again.
Fixed: Install detection on the Deploy page now recognizes inline page embeds, not only the floating widget.
Security: Tightened access checks across the dashboard backend so every request is verified against your sign-in and bot permissions.
New: The HelpJet plugin is published on WordPress.org. Install it from your WordPress admin, connect it to HelpJet, and your bot is trained from your posts and pages. The WordPress tab on the Deploy page links to it.
New: HeroThemes license holders receive the complimentary Pro plan automatically once their license is verified.
Improved: Dashboard text was rewritten in plain language.
Fixed: New-bot wizard steps that could freeze or submit silently, and a WordPress post lookup that broke when you changed post types mid-selection.
Fixed: The WordPress tab stays usable if the connection lookup fails.
Security: The widget now verifies it was loaded from HelpJet and detects removal of the Powered by HelpJet badge on plans that include it.
Removed: The legacy downloadable WordPress deploy plugin, replaced by the WordPress.org plugin.
Removed: Microsoft Clarity session recording from the dashboard.
Give a bot a goal and it will work toward it in conversation.
New:Goals page per bot. Choose a goal (for example sending visitors to a sign-up page or capturing a lead), and the bot offers a call to action in chat when it fits. Offers and clicks are tracked.
Improved: Satisfaction and resolution rates on the bot dashboard now include every past conversation, not only recent ones.
Improved: When you train from a WordPress site, posts, pages, and articles are preselected.
Fixed: Teaching a bot from the Train & Test Bot chat sometimes did not save what you taught it.
Fixed: Creating a bot with no training data selected is now stopped with a message instead of producing an empty bot.
Security: Fixes from a security review of the dashboard.
Improved: Conversations you have with a bot from the dashboard (Train & Test Bot, previews) are no longer counted toward your plan's interactions.
Improved: The Sources page shows both when a source was added and when it was last refreshed.
Improved: Explanations next to the JWT and Application Password options when training from a protected WordPress site, and a fallback with a clearer message when that sign-in fails.
Improved: Activity page layout.
Fixed: Q&A sources were sometimes ranked below less relevant content; they now take priority as intended.
Fixed: Sites behind a web application firewall that blocked training now have workarounds, with clearer status when a page could not be fetched.
Fixed: The widget preview on the test page did not load when domain restrictions were set.
Fixed: The Remove "Powered by HelpJet" add-on was not always applied to the widget.
Fixed: A race that could show the bot-limit dialog while creating your first bot, and new organization admins not seeing the organization's bots.
Improved: Answers draw on up to four times more source text per answer (the retrieval cap rose from 500 to 2,000 characters), so long articles are quoted more completely.
Improved: New bots use a newer embedding model for more accurate matching, and existing bots can be upgraded from their settings.
New: After you install the widget, the Deploy page detects it on your site and shows a confirmation. If it is not detected, a reminder email follows with the install steps.
Fixed: The widget showed the wrong bot name in some cases.
Improved: The deploy step in the new-bot wizard explains each channel, and offers ways to skip ahead if you cannot install right now. Bots are activated automatically when you reach it.
Improved: Training and source refresh flows had several fixes, including a case where refreshing did not pick up changed pages.
Improved: Copy across the app was rewritten to read more naturally.
Fixed: Inviting a member and accepting the invitation.
Removed: The separate feedback form. Use Contact in the sidebar for questions and feedback.
The chat experience was rebuilt from the ground up, and the same chat now powers the widget, the page embed, and the chat link.
Improved: Replies stream in with a smooth animation, the transcript stays anchored while you read, and a scroll-to-bottom button appears when you are behind.
Improved: Markdown in replies renders properly: lists, nested lists, headings, and fenced code.
Improved: Sources cited in a reply are shown as a footer under the message.
Improved: Your conversation is restored when you reopen the widget, and the header menu lets you start a new chat.
Improved: Feedback thumbs have instant tooltips, the panel opens and closes with a subtle animation, and keyboard and screen-reader use was improved.
Improved: The default system prompt is better at staying on topic and now includes your company profile.
Fixed: Ordinary documentation questions were sometimes refused by the jailbreak filter.
Fixed: Previewing a bot from the dashboard always starts a fresh conversation.
