Update your display name, profile picture, password, and locale from the Profile page — and see every organization you belong to at a glance.

Your personal settings — name, picture, password, and formatting preferences — live on the Profile page. Open the user menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Profile. These settings follow you, not any one organization.

Profile information

The Profile Information card covers how you appear across the app:

  • Display Name — the name shown throughout your HelpJet dashboard, including member lists and permission tables. Type a new one and click Save Changes.
  • Profile Picture URL — paste a URL to any image to use it as your avatar. Leave the field empty and HelpJet uses your Gravatar, matched to your email address. If you signed in with a provider that supplied a picture, a Reset to Clerk Avatar button restores it — Clerk is the sign-in service HelpJet uses.
  • Email — shown read-only. Your email address can't be changed from this page; contact support if you need it updated.

Changing your password

The Security card lets you set a new password:

  1. Enter a New Password — at least 8 characters.
  2. Repeat it in Confirm New Password.
  3. Click Update Password.

Other sessions stay signed in after a password change.

Language & region

The Language & Region card controls how numbers, percentages, and dates are formatted across the dashboard — usage counts, timestamps in conversation lists, and so on.

Pick a Locale from the dropdown. Options include en-US, en-GB, de-DE, fr-FR, es-ES, pt-BR, ja-JP, and around twenty others. The default is English (United States).

A live Preview box shows a sample number and date in the selected format, so you can check before committing. Click Save Locale to apply.

Your organizations

The Organizations card at the bottom lists every organization you belong to, with your role in each — Admin or Member. It's a read-only overview; to switch your active organization or manage members, see Organizations & Team Members.

Common questions

Do my profile settings affect my teammates?

No. Display name, avatar, and locale are personal. Teammates set their own.

I changed my display name but a teammate still sees the old one

Ask them to refresh — member lists load when the page opens.

Where do I sign out?

Same user menu at the bottom of the sidebar: Log out.
